Profile

I build software at the point where product experience, enterprise data, and operational reliability meet. For the past four-plus years at Jesta I.S. I have built and supported enterprise Oracle systems and the internal tooling around them — combining day-to-day schema, PL/SQL and patching work with hands-on development of the web, desktop and automation tools that make those workflows livable. A recurring theme: modernizing 20-year-old legacy systems with incremental, non-disruptive tooling rather than rip-and-replace. I own features end-to-end: database design, backend services, production UI, and the delivery pipeline that ships builds to clients.

Where I've worked

Oracle Database Administrator

Jesta I.S.Montreal, QC

Jan 2026 – Present

  • Author and maintain Oracle database change scripts to a strict internal standard covering idempotency, rollback safety, version-control headers, and trigger handling.
  • Manage cross-schema access, grants, and synonyms across the Jesta product suite, supporting both new feature work and ongoing client deployments.
  • Build and operate an AI-assisted change-script generator and validator (Anthropic Claude) that drafts compliant scripts from ticket text and scores them against internal DBA conventions; every script is reviewed by a DBA before deployment.
  • Reduce manual effort on routine database change tickets by routing them through the generator and validator pipeline.

Technical Analyst / Full Stack Developer

Jesta I.S.Montreal, QC

Nov 2021 – Jan 2026

  • Built and own VisionHUB, a full-stack internal web application that connects to multiple Oracle databases simultaneously and centralizes license management, environment metadata, and database change tracking — including Azure AD single sign-on, in-memory caching, and tuned connection pools.
  • Integrated Anthropic Claude into production tooling to extract and validate database change requests from free-form tickets, with strict structured outputs and an internal rule set.
  • Modernized legacy VB.NET DBA utilities into web-based equivalents inside VisionHUB, while continuing to maintain the WPF / C# desktop applications used for patch creation and version-control check-ins.
  • Integrated Azure Service Bus for asynchronous messaging between internal services.

Universal Banker

ScotiabankMontreal, QC

Dec 2014 – Jan 2021

  • Managed daily branch operations, client service flow, and escalations in a high-volume banking environment.
  • Recognized with the 2020 Best of the Best Annual Award for top-performing employees.

Mobile Inventory Controller

Patton AirMontreal, QC

Jan 2007 – Jan 2009

  • Managed inventory for the Rolls Royce aerial energy department, forecasting stock levels to avoid production delays.
  • Designed and maintained an inventory database for the Montreal division.

03 / Principles

How I work

The system is the product

A clean interface over a fragile pipeline fails users eventually. I design the data model, the integration boundaries, and the failure states with the same care as the screen.

Boring reliability beats clever fragility

Idempotent scripts, rollback paths, version-control headers, visible drift. Delivery mechanics should be dull, auditable, and repeatable.

Automate the routine, review the risky

I automate what machines do well — generation, validation, comparison, alerting — and keep humans in the loop wherever a mistake is expensive.

Tools should meet people where they work

Internal software succeeds by fitting existing workflows: the ticket queue, the patch process, the Teams channel — not by demanding new ones.
